Source hierarchy
Humain Alert prioritizes primary institutional sources: WHO for health, UNODC for homicide, ILO and UNICEF for child labour, V-Dem for expression measures, the World Bank for distributed indicator series, and the Global Carbon Project for carbon data. Secondary commentary may provide context but must not replace the underlying evidence.
Original value
Pages must do more than repeat a source. They should clarify definitions, compare units, expose reference years, identify coverage gaps and explain what a number cannot prove. Template text may support navigation, but every evidence profile requires geography-specific interpretation.
Writing and review
- Record the source URL, publisher, observation year and retrieval date.
- Check that the unit and geography match the claim.
- Distinguish reported, estimated, modelled and expert-coded values.
- Write the main limitation before the conclusion.
- Review links, calculations and language before publication.
AI-assisted work
Digital tools may assist with drafting, coding, summarization, structure or illustrative imagery. They are not treated as sources. Factual claims must be checked against the cited evidence, generated language must be reviewed for unsupported certainty, repetition and fabricated references, and generated scenes must never be presented as documentary evidence of a real event.
Sensitive topics
Suicide content follows responsible-reporting principles: no method descriptions, no sensational framing and a crisis-support signpost. Violence and child-labour coverage avoids dehumanizing imagery and does not blame affected populations.
Corrections
Material factual or methodological errors are corrected promptly and logged on the public corrections page with the date and nature of the change. Style edits that do not change meaning need not be logged individually.
Commercial independence
Advertising and paid work are separated from editorial conclusions. A client can commission additional analysis but cannot dictate findings. Sponsored content, if ever accepted, must be labelled prominently and cannot alter public indicator pages.
Authorship and privacy
The organizational byline “Humain Alert Editorial Team” is used throughout the site. Personal names, phone numbers and private addresses are not published. Readers can still challenge the work through the contact and correction channels.
Action platform, media and community
The seven themes connect practical steps with original source links and optional reading. AI assists drafting and development; editorial responsibility remains with Humain Alert. Illustrations are labelled and do not represent verified events. Linked speakers, publishers and authors do not endorse this project. Videos are linked rather than downloaded or republished.
Community entries require review and publication permission. Personal action choices stay on the visitor’s device. We do not claim invented participant totals or measure impact from checkmarks.
