What this profile covers
The South America set contains Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. Central America and the Caribbean are not included.
How regional values are built
For each indicator, the dashboard takes the arithmetic mean of available national observations when at least 35% of the 12-country set is covered. Countries are not population-weighted.

Carbon context: The dashboard reports consumption-based CO₂ per person separately. It has 0% weight in the social score.
Regional limitation
Different countries can contribute observations from different years, and indicator coverage can vary. The result is a broad continental orientation, not a synchronized account of every South American country.
South America is heterogeneous. A regional mean must never be treated as the condition of every country, community or person.
